Virginia Bassily

Virginia Bassily graduated with a Master of Urban Design from the University of Michigan and has a background in Architectural Engineering from the American University in Cairo, Egypt.

In her work, she explores the entanglements between the ‘informal’ and the ‘formal’ within urban settings. Her interests lie in exploring the different forms of sustainability that urban forms could achieve, not only from the environmental perspective but also from the local perspective.
