Sama Ahmed

Sama is a graduating Senior student of the Architectural Engineering undergraduate program at AUC. Her stream of focus is Tectonics and Computational Design. She is passionate about Architectural Engineering as a multidisciplinary field that tackles several aspects of engineering sciences, philosophy, humanities, psychology, and more, altogether through highly detailed and layered design and research processes that are tightly connected to human behavior, and daily life.

The main focus in her architectural studies is to explore and experiment as much as possible, through design projects, research and being a teaching assistant. She enjoys and admires the challenges that help her learn more and become a well-rounded architect that understands and can work with several disciplines all at once, be it Computational, technical, structural, environmental/sustainable, or theoretical/humanitarian.

Being a part of ESF since 2023 helped her gain hands on experience in conducting experiments in different sites, assisting in writing/editing research papers, data sorting, analysis, and collection, and gaining a skillset that prepares her to be flexible with different tasks and modes of operation.
